Are you a current Bermuda law student pursuing an undergraduate or post-graduate law degree and interested in gaining meaningful internship experience at Bermuda’s leading law firm?
We are currently accepting applications for our Summer Internship Programme which will take place 18 June – 15 August. The 2025 programme has been designed for students to rotate every two weeks to ensure learning across multiple sectors and specialisms. Interns will work alongside our world-class team of lawyers in the Corporate, Insurance and Dispute Resolution departments. The Legal interns will perform a variety of tasks in practice areas such as Corporate, Insurance and Dispute Resolution. These tasks include, but are not limited to:
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Perform complicated legal work under the supervision of an attorney
- Research and write memoranda
- Perform administrative duties such as filing
- Assist with preparation for trials, hearings, and client meetings.
- Attend trials, hearings, and client meetings.
- Research legislative histories
- Prepare and organize files and binders
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
- Must have completed second year of a recognized law degree or equivalent
- Experience in a law firm will be considered an asset
- Must possess strong research, writing and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and take initiative
- Attention to detail and strong time management skills required
Applicants will be required to write a short personal statement of 250-500 words explaining why they should be considered for the Appleby (Bermuda) Limited Summer Internship Programme.
Consideration shall be given to scholarship/bursary recipients.
