Principal duties and responsibilities will include (but are not limited to) the following:• Handling a diverse range of residential, commercial and general property transactions.• Reviewing and preparing conveyances, leases, mortgages, security documents and other deeds and documents of a novel nature• Keeping up to date with developments within Bermuda’s property market, related legislation and local customs and procedures• Contribute to marketing efforts through writing articles for industry publications, speaking at conferences and attending overseas business development trips
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:• Must have a high level of competence within the scope of Property practice areas• Minimum of at least eight years of post qualification experience in the property practice area • Strong skills in and specialised knowledge of the Property practice area• Developed analytical drafting and negotiating skills• Proven skills in practice management, client development, marketing and relationship management• A demonstrated ability to establish priorities, organise and delegate work assignments• Advocacy and trial preparation experience• Prior experience and proven ability to manage junior lawyers and contribute to management of the Firm• Knowledge and experience with discovery, including e-Discovery Systems
