The post-holder’s responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, liaising with our local and internal clientele and other contacts, including the Courts Office and Judges’ secretaries, case retrieval, photocopying, organizing and indexing. The successful candidate will also be expected to transcribe correspondence and a variety of legal documents, coordinate appointments where necessary, prepare invoices on a monthly basis and assist in the recovery of accounts receivable. The post-holder will also be expected to answer routine correspondence on behalf of the attorneys and input daily time records, and will be responsible for ensuring court deadlines are met and relevant court fees are settled.
Applicants must have a minimum of three years relevant secretarial experience and possess a proven ability to work on their own initiative with excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills. Applicants must be highly proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office suite of applications, specifically MS Word and Outlook, and possess fast and accurate capacity to input data from audio and written sources. Candidates must also possess a high degree of integrity and a proven ability to maintain strict confidentiality. Knowledge of the FSD and Grand Court rules and procedures would be an asset and a working knowledge of AdEx and FileSite would be an advantage.

Remuneration will be commensurate with experience.
