Finance Administrator

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Produce regular financial reporting for the Cayman and Bermuda office and work collaboratively with the Mauritius finance operations team to assist others at peak times and in periods of absence
  • Provide swift responses to miscellaneous queries from staff and third parties whilst also assisting staff with billing, disbursement and accounting queries, making adjustments as required
  • Support the individual teams with set up of billing files for all respective matters and assist with billing in other jurisdictions
  • Add all disbursements (e.g. CORIS, CIMA, couriers, revenue stamps, etc.) to the respective master files in a timely manner, in addition to processing all client disbursements
  • Generate and issue bills to relevant parties and perform quarterly and annual bill runs
  • Perform monthly reconciliation of CORIS, CIMA and other client disbursements
  • Process invoice queries, including timely and accurate invoice reversal, WIP transfers as well as the write off of WIP and debt
  • Receive incoming funds from clients and financial institutions, allocating the same to the correct ledgers
  • Develop strong relationships with all Group Finance functions to ensure identification, efficiency and consistent use of best practices
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and ledgers to track expenditures and income
  • Proactive identification, implementation and adoption of system and process enhancements to ensure excellent client service, and drive efficiency
  • Provide recommendations to management with respect to strategies for improving internal processes to maximise productivity, quality of work and to minimise revenue leakage
  • Assist the Regional Financial Controller in preparing monthly statistics reports to the Board/CFO/COO
  • Prepare WIP and new client reports for the Regional Financial Controller
  • Prepare cheque requests and daily bank deposit

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required:

  • A strong working knowledge of accounting standards and experience is required, preferably within financial services
  • Excellent organisational, analytical and communication skills are essential
  • Must possess a high degree of integrity and a proven ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Demonstrated ability to deal with staff at all levels in a tactful and competent manner
  • Knowledge of MS Office, specifically Word and Excel is required
  • Knowledge of Viewpoint, Aderant Expert and Worksite document management would be an asset

Remuneration will be commensurate with qualifications and experience and will be in the range of US$55,000–US$75,000 per annum plus benefits.
