Applicants are sought from candidates with 3-7 years’ call with very strong academics, and proven relevant experience from a leading Commercial or Commercial/Chancery set. Applicants must be admitted in a Commonwealth jurisdiction and possess a minimum of 3 years’ post-qualified experience in a Commonwealth jurisdiction.
You should be able to assume responsibility for advocacy against Leading Counsel, on major commercial litigation and, in particular, litigation involving cross-border issues, insolvency, asset tracing, and complex financial disputes - all being heard in Cayman’s specialist Financial Services Division, of its Grand Court.
You should be able to handle a large caseload with minimal supervision and demonstrate the ability to maintain and build on existing client relationships that attract future work and client referral.
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work autonomously are essential.
