Senior Associate/Counsel - Private Client & Trusts

Applicants must have a minimum of six years’ post qualification experience along with strong academics and proven experience, and must be able to assume responsibility for the following areas: all aspects of non-contentious trusts and estates advice including the drafting of trusts, supplemental deeds, wills and the provision of legal advice on commercial, pensions and charitable trusts. Candidates should ideally also be well versed in powers of attorney and providing wills and estate planning advice. Experience of working on contentious trusts matters will also be an asset.

Candidates must demonstrate a consistent ability and willingness to market and engage in business development initiatives. The post-holder must also demonstrate the ability to maintain existing client relationships and continue to build on current relationships that attract future work and client referral.

Applicants should be able to handle a large caseload with minimal supervision, and the post-holder will also be responsible for managing other persons working with them on their files, which will include the mentoring and training of junior associates and articled clerks.

Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work autonomously are essential.
