KEY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:
• Advise clients in keeping with the firm’s principles, with respect to all aspects of case management pertaining to all litigation and insolvency related matters
• Represent the firm in dealings with outside law firms (both local and offshore), government representatives, agencies, and other professionals involved with the client’s matters
• Maintain up to date knowledge of the law, both locally and internationally as it may impact the Cayman Islands and the firm’s clients
• Demonstrate the ability to maintain existing client relationships and build on current relationships that attract future work and client referral
• Demonstrate a consistent ability and willingness to market and engage in business development initiatives, and engage in business travel where required
• Delegate client work to less experienced attorneys, review documents prepared by the same and provide comments thereon
• Mentor less experienced attorneys
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
• Qualified attorney with more than 10 years’ post-qualified experience
• Substantial experience in a combination of the following areas: litigation involving cross-border issues, insolvency, asset tracing, and complex financial disputes
• Must possess an excellent academic and professional background
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Management skills and business experience
We offer an excellent benefits package including premium health coverage, pension plan and vacation leave. Remuneration will be commensurate with qualifications and experience and will be in the range of US$250,000 to US$400,000 per annum.
